Associate Pastor (part time)
Metford Community Baptist Church has an established congregation who have been on a journey throughout 2024 reaffirming our purpose and values and seeking God’s direction and vision for our church.

The Associate Pastor will work with the Lead Pastor to focus on our priorities. These priorities include:
- All ages and generations with a specific focus on children, youth and families – engaging and connecting so people feel cared for.
- Developing disciples who thrive on prayer and God’s word.
- Building committed, faithful workers that share our hope in Jesus with others.
- Being part of the leadership and contributing to developing leaders.
- Building and fostering local community connections within Metford and within Maitland Christian School.
The Associate Pastor will help develop and implement some of the strategies that will emerge out of the visioning process. This is an exciting time in the life of the church where the church is seeing growth and positioning itself for additional growth.

The role could involve:
- Discipleship development
- Children’s and families’ ministries
- Youth ministry
- Outreach
- Building community within the church family – pastoral care
- Building connections within the local community and school
- Preaching (if desired by the applicant)
We prefer the candidate to be an Accredited Pastor or Recognised or working towards same, however other applications will be considered on their merit. Depending on skills and qualifications pay for the role will be as per the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT Remuneration Recommendations 2025 on a pro-rata basis. The role is offered on a part-time basis with hours per week to be negotiated up to 4 days per week for at least 3 years (negotiable). Ideally the role will extend beyond that timeframe, subject to the needs of the church and the successful inclusion of this role into the ministry team.
